About
A small team that wants your tables to run themselves.
Most restaurant software is paid by the money that flows through it, so you pay a percentage forever and sign a contract to protect it. We built the opposite for small restaurants. Guests scan a code on the table, order, and pay on their phone; the money lands in your own Stripe account. Staff see orders on the phones they already have, bookings and your regulars live in the same place, and you pay us one flat price, $20, $49 or $99, that you can stop any month. We never see a card, and we never use your guest list. Nothing to install, nothing to replace, about ten minutes to set up.

The maker
Platenook is made by PixelRidge Web, a small studio that builds for small businesses, now building the tool it wished its own restaurant clients had. We are a remote team in Nepal and Canada, and we work online with every restaurant, wherever it is. Company: PixelRidge Web, Nepal. Support by e-mail within a working day, same day on Full.
Why we built it
In many small towns, QR ordering does not exist. The big systems are built for chains and charge by the sale. A family cafe with twelve tables gets a till, a contract and a cut of every order. We wanted something simpler: guests scan, order and pay, and the owner sets it up alone in an afternoon.
What we promise
- Simple. If it needs a manual, we have built it wrong.
- No cut of any order. One flat monthly plan. Your sales are yours.
- Your data stays yours. Your guests' details are yours and we keep them minimal.
- Cancel any month. From your Settings. No contract, no setup fee.
How support works
You write to sales@pixelridgeweb.com. On the Full plan we answer the same day. On the others we answer within a working day. There is no phone line yet, and we would rather tell you that now.
What we hold about your guests
You are in charge of your guests' data and we run the software for you. We keep booking phone numbers about 3 months and remember a guest only if they say yes. We hold no card numbers and no IP addresses. Guests can delete their own data. We never use your guest list to market to them. The legal pages in the footer have the detail.
